Musculoskeletal Pathology

•Bone: Please provide a thorough clinical history as well as digital radiographs and/or radiology reports when submitting bone biopsies, digits, or limb amputations. Electronic files can be sent to info@specialtyvetpath.com (include patient name in subject line).

•Skeletal muscle: For many disease processes affecting skeletal muscle in small animals, routine H&E and histochemical staining of formalin-fixed tissue is sufficient for diagnosis. However, sometimes it is desirable to examine frozen sections for diagnosis of muscle diseases. Please contact us (206-245-8426) if you are uncertain what tissue to submit, or for specific instructions on submission of fresh tissue when indicated.
