Reporting
Surgical pathology and dermatopathology: Most cases are reported 1-2 days after receipt of samples by our laboratory. Results may be delayed up to 5 days in cases requiring decalcification, additional tissue processing, or special stains.

Necropsy: A preliminary report is provided within 24 hours of post-mortem examination. Final reports take up to 3 weeks for completion. 

All reports are faxed and/or e-mailed, according to stated preferences.

Billing
Accounts are invoiced monthly and charges are payable upon receipt.  Invoices are delivered via US mail or e-mail. Please make payments by check to SpecialtyVETPATH.
 

What's new?

  • SpecialtyVETPATH now offers a microbiology service (bacteriology and mycology) in addition to dermatopathology, surgical pathology, and necropsy services.  We welcome submissions from veterinary specialists and general practitioners throughout the United States and Canada.
